We have a large number of dog who are not suitable for rehoming, for various reasons, living here at the sanctuary. Some are very old, some have life limiting health problems, some have just been here too long to go to new homes. They live in absolute luxury, as part of the family, and love nothing better than to find a space in front of the log-burning stove on cold winter nights.

Due to their complex needs, these dogs require very regular veterinary consultations and some are on medication for the rest of their lives. They have a large outdoor space to run around in during the day. Some just lie in the sun, with lots of shelter from sun or rain if needed.

Occasionally, a dog that may be suitable for rehoming will come into our care, and we will look for a five-star home for them. We always do a home inspection ourselves, and we also ask for an adoption fee to offset veterinary costs.
