Our latest hen rescue takes place on 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th September. These hens are coming from a free range, organic farm, and will be slaughtered if we can’t find homes for them.

Our 2022 hen rescues will begin in March.
We will be looking for homes for many hundreds of battery caged hens from a commercial egg farm, that will otherwise be slaughtered to make way for new stock. These little hens have lived in tiny cages in huge sheds for the past 12 months, and have never felt the sun on their backs, never tasted grass, never had the opportunity to scratch in the dust, or dust bathe.

An adoption fee will apply to try and cover some of the huge costs involved in saving these hens from the slaughter truck’s arrival.
